HPV, or Human Papilloma Virus, is the most common sexually-transmitted disease, with an estimated 1 in 4 sexually-active young adults having the disease. In women, this infection can eventually lead to cervical cancer, which kills more than 3900 women every year.
A recent study found that the taking fish oil inhibited the growth of these HPV cells. Perhaps more remarkable is that it inhibited the growth of already cancerous cells in a benign tumor.
